Mandi Price Forecasting

Agricultural price forecasting with historical mandi data and seasonal patterns.

Problem & contribution

I built an agricultural commodity price forecasting model using historical mandi data and seasonal patterns, exploring how time-dependent price data can support forecasts.

Modeling approach

Conceptual time series showing a historical trend with seasonal variation and a dashed hypothetical forecast region. No measured prices or accuracy are shown.
Conceptual workflow based on the documented project scope.

The modeling scope combines historical price information and seasonal patterns. A specific winning algorithm or dataset period is not established in the available record.

Results & available evidence

The available record documents the forecasting task. Measured forecast accuracy and a public evaluation artifact are not available.

Scope documented in my résumé. No public performance benchmark is claimed.

Limitations & evaluation next steps

A reproducible evaluation should record the commodity, market, date range, and missing-data treatment; use a chronological holdout; compare against naïve and seasonal baselines; and report MAE/RMSE by forecast horizon. These are proposed steps, not reported experiment results.
